Welcome to the blog tour of Virgin River
So glad you could join us!
I have always found the book to be better than the screen adaption, and this is certainly the case for Virgin River, now an original Netflix series.
Sometimes, all one needs is a fresh start and that is so true for Melinda Monroe. On impulse, recently widowed Melinda Monroe decides to leave her city life and escape to the idyllic rural town of Virgin River, all on the basis of an advert. She has her reasons for leaving, heartache being one of them, along with the revitalisation of her nursing career.
However, Mel’s hopes are dashed within an hour of arriving – the cabin is uninhabitable, the roads are treacherous and the local doctor wants nothing to do with her. But when a tiny baby is abandoned on a front porch, Mel must decide whether to stay and help or cut her losses and leave.
Helped by local barman, a former marine, Jack Sheridan, Mel must face her past, and in so doing, finds there may be a future in Virgin River after all.
Robyn Carr weaves a lovely tale of heartache and healing, courage and victory, and unexpected love. Set in picturesque country with a myriad of quirky characters and a dash of danger, Virgin River makes for an entertaining read.
I want to thank #MillsAndBoon for the opportunity to participate in the blog tour of #VirginRiver by #RobynCarr.
